Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a dedicated Project Engineer with a solid background in the electrical construction industry. The position is based in Irvine and offers a promising career path with growth potential. Responsibilities
- Analyze blueprints for accuracy and completeness to ensure project integrity.
- Determine fixture, device, and equipment quantities, along with power requirements for various projects.
- Calculate wire sizing and voltage drop percentage with the help of specialized programs.
- Utilize takeoff software to provide comprehensive counts and measurements essential for project success.
- Maintain and track bid invitations, assisting in the prioritization of the bid pipeline to optimize project outcomes.
- Review and send drawings to suppliers for quotes, organizing and filing quotes upon receipt for future reference.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a strong emphasis on Excel, is required.
- Ability to read and interpret structural, architectural, and MEP drawings is essential for this role.
- Experience with quantity takeoff and utilizing estimating software; proficiency in Bluebeam is preferable.
- Capability to analyze and overlay new drawings to identify changes from previous sets, ensuring project accuracy.
- Self-starter who can work independently and prioritize workload to meet stringent deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills to facilitate smooth project operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assist in value engineering recommendations.
- Construction experience is required to successfully fulfill the duties of this role.
Required Work Hours
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
Benefits
This position offers a salary range of $70,000 to $90,000 per year, based on experience, with significant growth potential.
